Vera is built by Twilight Labs, a technology company developing scalable, sustainable solutions for real-world problems that matter. We're technologists and domain experts who recognised that the sandwich generation is facing an identical crisis across Australia, the US, UK, and Canada - and nobody's built the infrastructure to actually help.

So we did.

Melissa Reader
Founder and CEO

Melissa built Australia's largest end-of-life not-for-profit, Violet, growing it to $5M revenue while supporting over 30,000 families through life's final chapters. She led the groundbreaking CARE Index 2025 research examining how Australians approach ageing and care planning.

With degrees from Harvard Kennedy School and INSEAD, Melissa combines deep domain expertise with strategic vision. She's a regular voice in national media on aged care, family caregiving, and the infrastructure gaps facing the sandwich generation.

She knows this space - not theoretically, but from walking thousands of families through the decisions that matter most.

Yaniv Bernstein
Co-founder and CTO

Yaniv is start-up royalty, with 20+ years of experience building and scaling technology products and companies that matter. He's highly experienced across all stages of the startup lifecycle, with a proven ability to build products at scale that people actually use.

As host of The Startup Podcast, Yaniv explores what it takes to build technology that solves real problems. At Twilight Labs, he's focused on building the infrastructure that makes complex, personalised guidance scalable - without sacrificing quality or safety.
